Worgen: The newest addition to the Alliance.
Worgens are a new playable race with the advent of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. They begin in the new zone of Gilneas. The starting area features many epic large-scale battles and an intriguing plotline to your becoming a Worgen. I encourage leveling a Worgen for the experience of one of the most unique questing areas in World of Warcraft. That moment when you turn into a worgen is something you should simply level up to see.

Worgen Abilities in detail
- Worgens have one very unique active ability in particular: Running Wild. Rather than requiring a ground mount, they can quite conveniently and flavorfully get on all fours and run at a ground-mount speed - a nice side benefit being that you don't have to buy any ground mounts.
- Darkflight: Worgens also have a very useful 'free' sprint at a rogue's highest level of sprint. That quick burst in speed is extremely good at running away / chasing something down.
Their passives are nothing to sneeze at.
- Viciousness: +1% Crit is a nice bonus for overall DPS.
- Flayer: Finally, though every race has a passive +skill ability, Worgens actually not only have +skinning skill, but also their skinning time is reduced - making it one of the best professions to take.
